Holiday Gift Guide: From Our Favorite Event Locations
The holidays are here, and we’re still not shopping on Amazon or at Target (no matter how tempting it may be!) Luckily, we have traveled to many locations over the years that have great options to choose from, both hyper-local and regional. Below is a favorite, unique or luxurious gift idea from every city we’ve managed events in. If you’re from the cities below, comment with your favorite local treat or maker!
New Orleans, Louisiana: Chicory Coffee Blend from French Truck Coffee
During our explorations of New Orleans for a Client event this past May, we could not get enough of local coffee shop French Truck Coffee! Gift a subscription or a pound of one of their delicious blends to the event management professional in your life that can’t get enough delicious, caffeinated coffee. Our favorite? The Commander’s Palace blend, the perfect combination of Coffee and Chicory that transports us right back to NOLA. French Truck serves it in their shops iced, with milk and sweetener. The absolute best way to start the day.
Minneapolis, Minnesota: The Famous Peanut Butter from Hell’s Kitchen
Minneapolis is another city we were blessed to travel to a number of times in 2023 and 2024, and we have a few choice favorite spots and treats. Caribou Coffee in the morning, Hell’s Kitchen for dinner. This employee-owned restaurant not only has incredible food and a unique concept in a great space, but the famous small-batch peanut butter ships nationally. For the peanut butter lover in your life (and who doesn’t have at least one of those?)
Cleveland, Ohio: A Gift Card for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Shop
We were lucky to stay a few blocks away from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during our Client event in 2023, and the music lover in your life simply should not go without merch from their official shop. Gift cards available on their website, here.
Beverly Hills, CA: A Peninsula Spa Gift Card
In 2019, we planned an event for investors, family offices and high net worth individuals at the Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills. To be honest, we are still kicking ourselves that we didn’t leave enough time between the Summit and our flight home to get a massage or other service at their spa. Please, do us a favor and buy one for the luxury lover in your life (that includes yourself!).
Washington, DC: Gordy’s Pickles
Unapologetic pickle lover, here! If I could choose, I’d love to gift some of these local favorites to a fellow craft pickle enthusiast. Shop directly on their website! These were a local favorite mentioned when I visited for a Fall 2024 Multi-Day Client Conference.
Newark, NJ: Just Jersey Goods
If you want to support local New Jersey makers and artists, Just Jersey Goods gives a wide variety of local options to choose from. In honor of our Client’s 2018 citywide in Newark, New Jersey.
