Knowing Our Worth
This year has been a challenge for event planners, to say the least. While we consider ourselves seasoned event professionals, 2020 brought on problems and situations that we never could have imagined or prepared for. However, despite having to completely pivot our business model, skillset, and almost everything else in March of this year, BLME has been delivering for our clients more than ever. Upon reflection, we realized that our job scope is greater than it’s ever been, and that is why we have decided to raise our prices for the upcoming year.
Knowing Our Worth
To an outsider, flipping from live events to virtual ones may seem like no big deal. In fact, some may think it is “easier” since we no longer are on-site at events and can work from home. In reality, BLME has had to greatly adapt and expand our services. Here are just some examples of the changes and growth we have had to make to adapt to the 2020 event environment:
We quickly and successfully pivoted client events from live experiences to virtual learning programs, festivals, fundraisers, and community experiences.
We achieved the outcomes that were outlined by our clients on all occasions.
We have learned and onboarded clients onto 5 new virtual platforms this year.
Virtual events require much more internal collaboration and project management, as all internal changes need to be streamlined across all platforms. Virtual events also require more logistical work.
BLME expanded our team to include event tech support, designing event graphics, and collaborating on marketing, social media, and attendee engagement strategies.
We now offer the option to add event tech pricing to our packages.
We now offer the option to add content creation and editing to our packages.
Something we as a company pride ourselves on is knowing the worth of the work and services that we provide. Given all of the changes that had to be made this past year, raising prices for 2021 was the logical conclusion. We hope that this inspires other entrepreneurs to know their worth and not be afraid to ask for it.
As a courtesy to our clients, we will continue to offer 2020 prices if the client signs and puts down a deposit between now and December 30, 2020, or if their events take place before March 31, 2021.
