Meet the Team Behind BLME

Although in many ways this has been undoubtedly the most challenging year yet, I have found so much gratitude in the midst of uncertainty. Back in June, you may remember that I took a few weeks off to travel with my husband and pup, and to be outdoors to refocus. As is usually the case, the time away sparked a number of new ideas and new ways to approach my business. I realized that I needed to assemble a small team to help me with the ins and outs and day-to-day of my business, so that I could focus on the client work that I love so much.

I’m so happy to say that I have had an incredible team of freelancers who have worked with me in the past, and that I was able to bring them on in a larger capacity. You may recognize them if you have attended our previous events and client initiatives, or from the various clients and projects each of them has worked with.

With that in mind, I invite you to ‘meet’ the team!

Diamond Brown

Diamond is an Event Planner and Model based out of South Jersey. As a child, Diamond showed a passion for event planning when she would often plan little events for her family to attend including talent shows, picnics, birthday parties, you name it! The satisfaction she felt from spending quality time with her family and friends at a party that she planned on her own grew into a desire to pursue the very practice as a career. Now at 22 years old , Diamond has planned and assisted in several events for multiple clients.

Kelly Lesko

A seasoned veteran of the marketing and event planning industries, Kelly started her career serving brands such as Dave & Buster's and Thomas Jefferson University. It was not until Kelly accepted an executive board member role with the Professional Women's Roundtable of Philadelphia that the potential to be her own boss came to a head. For Kelly, the experience of educating and connecting with all kinds of business women through PWR helped her to realize just how much she loves the small business space. When her tenure on the board was complete, Kelly dove head first into building a business of her own where as a virtual assistant she helps her clients with project management, event planning and content curation.

One of the most rewarding things in my career has always been empowering other professionals, freelancers and business owners—especially women—to go after their goals, and to work with those who feel the same. Whether working behind the scenes or in client-facing roles, I’m thrilled to be able to work with such talented and driven individuals, especially on the new and exciting projects that 2020 has brought.
