Quick Tip: Declutter Your Zoom Screen
Here’s a quick tip for eliminating distractions in a crowded Zoom meeting:
On your laptop or desktop, while signed in to a Zoom meeting, find the arrow right next to the video symbol on the bottom left corner
You’ll notice there’s many options here, but today we’re focusing on hiding the non-video participants so that you can focus on the speakers.
As you can see, you should click “hide non-video participants” to ensure that you only see those who are on camera.
If you are joining from your phone, view the video how-to here!
Focus Mode: As a host, you can make this easier on your participants by enabling Focus Mode when you are scheduling the meeting. In Focus Mode, which was originally designed for virtual classroom use, hosts can see all participants on video but they cannot see one another. That’s just a bit of what this mode does! We’ll dive deeper into that in a later post.
