Announcing Virtual Co-Working!
I’m writing this blog post from Day 1 of my coronavirus quarantine, here in South Jersey. Things are still so uncertain about the next steps of the virus, but one thing is for sure: we should all be taking this very, very seriously. I hope you, too, are reading this from quarantine. If you can’t, I hope you’re able to take all health and safety measures that you need to, to ensure your family is safe.
Ever the extrovert, I started to feel anxious thinking about having little to no human interaction over the next few weeks. I saw online that many of my fellow business owners were feeling the effects of school closures, quarantines, and coronavirus-related mandates affecting their businesses and industries.
Enter: virtual co-working.
I made an event for (1) hour every Thursday, for a maximum of 10 people. The point of these ‘meetups?’ There are a few goals I’ve set, below:
- Support one another during this time of uncertainty.
- Maintain human connection while trying to do what’s best for society overall, and stay home.
- Offer referrals to one another where possible.
- Barter services where it makes sense.
- Have ‘roundtable’ discussions and advise one another as to how to pivot focus and maximize revenue.
I made the tickets free, as I know that we are all facing financial and economic uncertainty. For those that are able, I’ve made it possible to donate to a few nonprofits in Philly, supporting Project HOME, PSPCA, and Philly Startup Leaders.
Won’t you join me?
