An Event Planner’s New Orleans, Louisiana Meeting and Event Planning Recommendations
Between Summer 2024 and Spring 2025, I visited New Orleans three times—twice in anticipation of a Client event, and the third and final time for the event execution. One thing I love about the city is that it is so primed for hosting meetings and events, both large and small. We toured numerous spaces, including hotels, restaurants, museums, exhibition halls, and non-traditional venues. Here are some of my favorites:
Pick #1: The Historic Hotel Monteleone
This Historic Hotel is right in the middle of the French Quarter, without feeling like you are on top of the action. It’s steps away from some of the best places to eat, drink and experience New Orleans, including a few of my other recommendations below. The hotel’s staff are above and beyond friendly, from the front door attendants to the front desk, banquet staff, sales team, operations and everyone in between. Bonus: The rooftop pool is stunning and feels like a secluded secret in the skyline. Learn More Here.
Pick #2: Court of Two Sisters
A stunningly gorgeous and elegant restaurant with a celebrated history and a delectable Creole and Cajun style buffet. The courtyard is sculpted by the Wisteria tree that covers it, along with thoughtfully placed lights, a beautiful fountain, and staff that make you feel like they are hosting you at home. Cannot recommend this space more highly! (Pro tip: Their Jazz Bar is legendary). Book your spot at Court of Two Sisters here!
Pick #3: Pêche New Orleans
My Client and I dined here on one of our site inspection trips, and my goodness did we have a wonderful time! They work with local fisherman and offer sustainably farmed ingredients—and that translates to phenomenal food. But don’t take my word for it! According to their website, “In 2014, Chef Ryan Prewitt was honored with a James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: South. That same year Pêche won a James Beard award for Best New Restaurant in America. Pêche is continuously named one of the Top 10 Best Restaurants in New Orleans annually by Brett Anderson, Times Picayune.” Learn more here!
Pick #4: StudioBE
This organization’s mission is simply stated on their website: “Art Has Power. Create Change.” My first time in New Orleans, it was recommended that I look in to StudioBE, their mission, and their event offerings. I took a self-guided tour after being connected to their Community & Events Manager, and was left breathless. What New Orleans Artist Brandan “BMike” Odums built in 2016 is transforming into a multifaceted cultural destination and landmark. Don’t forget to book your self-guided tour the next time you’re in town! See info here.
Pick #5: Signature Transportation New Orleans
From our site inspection to community visits and backup transportation in case of inclement weather, Signature Transportation was a phenomenal partner to work with. Their team was extremely hands-on, communicated clearly, was always available to answer questions and even showed up in person to ensure all went off without a hitch. I loved working with them! Here is their website.
